SMOOTHIE BOWLS

I admit that I am obsessed / FAN N. 1 of smoothies. I love them at any time but especially I have them in the morning for breakfast. Depending on the day, I get up with a craving for green or purple or pink … and from there I create the smoothie, so if I fancy green I will add spinach, kiwi fruit, avocado or any green fruit or vegetable, and if I feel like purple I will add blueberries, blackberries, figs, beets, etc.

The result of any of these combinations will be a delicious smoothie, full of vitamins, minerals, fiber, iron, natural sugars, calcium, proteins and more! So, there is no better way to start the day than with one of these bowls!

Of these 3 the purple is my favorite and also the figs as topping combine perfect!
The green can be extra creamy due to the combination of avocado and banana, the key is that the avocado is not too big and if it still goes cloying add a little more milk and go!
And the orange/yellow has a very tropical flavor and tastes even better if you add coconut slices on top …

 

PURPLE

Ingredients:

2 ripe BANANAS
1/2 cup BLACKBERRIES
1 MEDJOOL DATE or 2 normal DATES (pitted)
1/2 cup NON DAIRY MILK or 1/2 cup WATER (with milk + creamy texture)
1 tbsp shredded COCONUT
1 cooked BEET

Preparation:

Put all the ingredients in the blender (I slice the BANANA and the BEET into 3 or 4 parts before adding them)
Mix everything until smooth.
Pour into a bowl.
Add the toppings you want. I have added FIGS, FROZEN RASPBERRIES and dry COCONUT slices.

 

GREEN

(this one  is very creamy and may be cloying for some people but I like it)

Ingredients:

2 ripe BANANAS
1/2 small AVOCADO
1 cup frozen SPINACH (can also use fresh SPINACH)
1/2 cup NON DAIRY MILK

Preparation:

Put all the ingredients in the blender. (I slice the BANANA in 3 or 4 parts before adding it)
Mix everything until smooth.
Pour into a bowl.
Add the toppings you most want. I have added MUESLI, more BANANA and FIGS.

 

ORANGE/YELLOW 

Ingredients:

2 BANANAS
1/2 MANGO
1 NECTARINE
1 tbsp shredded COCONUT
1/2 cup of WATER or NON DAIRY MILK (for more creamy texture)

Preparation:

Put all the ingredients in the blender. (I slice the BANANA, NECTARINE and MANGO in 3 or 4 parts before adding them)
Mix everything until smooth.
Pour into a bowl.
Add the toppings  you most want. I have added more BANANA, RASPBERRIES, dry COCONUT slices , NATURAL ALMONDS and DRY BLUEBERRIES.
