Porridge oats is one of my favourite basic breakfast. It is rich in fiber, has high protein content and helps stabilize your blood sugar so it becomes a super good option for every day breakfast.
I use to have porridge oats when I know I’m going to have a late lunch or I have a busy morning because is digested slowly and that way helps to keep you full for longer.
Depending on the toppings you decide to add to the porridge it’s going to have a super different flavour, so I hope you try lot of options.
There is so many ways to make porridge, but this is how I do it and it works for me!!
1/2 cup OATS
1 tsp CINAMON
1 tsp MACA POWDER
1 tbsp CHIA SEEDS
1 tbsp FLAX SEEDS
1/2 cup WATER
1/2 cup NON DAIRY MILK
1 tbsp AGAVE SYRUP
Add all the ingredients in to a low hitted pan.
Keep moving the mix for about 5-10min.
Turn the hit off when the mix has gone “compact”.
Pour in to a bowl and add the toppings. I added: BANANA, MANGO, RASPBERRIES and AGAVE SYRUP
*I normally like to add PEANUT BUTTER, I love to combine the creamy texture with the porridge but I didn’t have the day I was taking the photos for the recipe so I couldn’t add. But if you do, make sure to use it as a topping!
